Confusing times often push people to subdue distress by morphing or alternating the realities in order to find a silver lining. Yuree Kensaku explores this idea in “The Lady On A White Horse,” a Thai prophecy believed to have been devised by a monk that tells of the day Thailand will be saved by a woman on a white horse. The exhibition revolves around people’s belief on ghostly beings, fictional characters, as well as real-life heroes in the midst of struggles and adversity, and how these images recreates our fears into stories of triumph of good versus evil.
