"My works are correlated with one another," Thai artist Pinaree Sanpitak says. "They are ideations from previous works, continuously evolving. It’s not just about the woman; a lot of it is about being human, sharing a space, and how we interact with each other." In the show Fragmented Bodies: The Personal and The Public, Sanpitak takes her renowned Breast Stupa with different permutations. Her works are not created to be aligned with womanhood but in fact with the gender ambiguity of it all. The exhibition shows more than that of interpretations that could relate to femininity, motherhood, and religion allowing the viewer to go deeper into a sensory and emotional experience.
