In the book Survival of the Fireflies, French philosopher Georges Didi-Huberman cited Giorgio Agamben and his essay What is the Contemporary. as Didi-Huberman points out the duty of contemporaries to be "courage—political virtue—and poetry." To Didi-Huberman, the contemporaries Agamben was talking about were the people who are not in any way associated with the times. This thus gives them the power to grasp the issues sensibly. In the exhibition Courage and Poem, artists Socheol Kim, Yi Yunyi, Seo Young Chang, and Han Jin translate the tasks of the contemporaries into works that interpret that pain of this generation. In the last week of the exhibition, choreographer Soo-Hyun Hwang will perform an emotional performance that's separate from the bodily movements.
